New government guidelines require K-3 grades have facilities for play.

Play is an important part of early childhood education as well as the physical and mental well being of all the students.  New government guidelines require K-3 grades have facilities for play.  The government supplied the funds for Losirwa to construct a rudimentary playground.  

Friends of Meali just completed (2025) a renovation of an existing playground at the Meali School.  Our new school, the Lucas Mhina School has no playground. We are presently (7/25) raising money to build a playground.
